Travel and Work in Canada

Kamis, 14 Oktober 2010 ·

Canada's International Youth Programs attract every year over 37,000 international youth from over 100 countries around the world. In its short history, Canada has grown into a knowledge-based nation with world-class governance, corporations, culture and lifestyle. Canada not only prides itself on its stunning natural attractions, but also on its cosmopolitan cities and their dynamic cultural life. The United Nations Human Development Index has recognized the above-average Canadian quality of life by consistently ranking Canada among the best countries in the world.

For years, one of the defining features of this country was our historically low rates of crime and safe streets which became part of the Canadian way of life. Security and stability is a defining characteristic and the foundation of our vibrant society as well as a strong economy. The opportunity to travel and work in Canada is unique and rewarding, providing international participants with an ideal environment for valuable work experiences and a great chance to discover Canada's culture, society and landscape.

Travel and Work in Canada: 3 categories

There are three categories allowing you to balance your travel and work experience in order to get the most out of your time in Canada.

  • Working Holiday

It is the ideal formula for students and non-students who want to supplement their travel experiences with temporary work. Working Holiday enables Canadians aged 18-35 to travel and take on work in Canada.

  • Young Professional/Young Worker Opportunities

This formula allows participants aged 18-35 to gain serious international professional work experience in their field. Participants have the opportunity to diversify their competencies and aquire professional skills and experience in a foreign country. After completing this program, participants will be better able to compete in an increasingly globalized economy.

  • International Co-operative Education

This program enables students to gain valuable overseas work experience related to their field of study. It also helps them make a successful transition from school to the working world. If you are in a co-op education program, this is the program for you.
